ORANGES ARE GREAT FOR SKIN



Oranges are rich with vitamin C.

Vitamin C is good for smooth and clean skin.

Other sources of vitamin C are strawberries, papaya and broccoli. 

Deficiency of vitamin C leads to bleeding gums, weakness, nosebleed and scurvy.

WASH YOUR HANDS WELL


Always wash your hands before:
  • Preparing food
  • Eating
  • Treating wounds or giving medicine
  • Touching a sick or injured person
  • Inserting or removing contact lenses
Always wash your hands after:
  • Preparing food, especially raw meat or poultry
  • Using the toilet
  • Changing a diaper
  • Touching an animal or animal toys, leashes or waste
  • Blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing into your hands
  • Treating wounds
  • Touching a sick or injured person
  • Handling garbage or something that could be contaminated, such as a cleaning cloth or soiled shoes

CARROTS ARE GOOD FOR YOU


Carrots are a good source of vitamin A!

Vitamin A is good for you. It keeps your eyes and skin healthy.

Other sources of vitamin A include liver, beef, cheese, and eggs.

Lack of vitamin A makes you more susceptible to infectious disease and vision problems.

So, please eat up all the carrots your mom prepared and do not leave any behind!

BRUSH YOUR TEETH



Some DO’S and DON’TS

  • Limit frequency of snacking
  • Beware of foods that you keep in your mouth for long time, because they give plaque more time to produce acids, eg chewing gums.
  • Limit foods that you suck – candies, mints, cough lozenges.
  • Similarly, avoid sticky food like caramel, containing chocolates (eclairs) chikki, popcorn.
  • If you eat meals rich in sugar or starch, try to eat them with your meals, rather than in between meals.
More saliva produced during meals. This saliva helps neutralize acid production. Also it clears food from mouth.
